Bespoke M&A advisory, capital raising, and strategic alternatives for family offices, high net worth individuals, and sophisticated private market participants.
"The best place to store your wealth is in your reputation."
Terra Advisory was purpose-built for clients who deploy patient capital and demand unconflicted counsel. We don't serve everyone. We serve clients who measure their advisors in decades — not deal cycles — and who expect every engagement to be led by a senior principal.
Every engagement is conducted with complete confidentiality. Our clients are private by nature — their advisor must be too.
No proprietary capital. No conflicting mandates. Our only interest is your outcome.
Opportunities and counterparties that never reach the open market — curated through relationships built over decades.
Every engagement is led personally by a senior principal from the first conversation through close. No hand-offs.
Buy-side and sell-side advisory for private companies and family-owned businesses. We design and execute bespoke processes that protect what you've built — and maximize what you receive.
Strategic capital formation for growth, recapitalization, and balance sheet optimization. We access private capital partners who understand patient, long-term structures.
When the path forward isn't clear, we provide the analysis and perspective to evaluate every option — from partnership and joint ventures to full liquidity and succession.
Dedicated counsel for family offices evaluating direct investment, co-investment, and portfolio company transactions. We understand the priorities of generational capital.
Private market transactions are complex, personal, and consequential. We approach every engagement the way a trusted family advisor would — with full attention, complete candor, and a singular focus on your outcome.
Every engagement begins with a deep understanding of your objectives, timeline, and constraints — not a pitch for our process. We listen before we advise.
We identify and approach the right counterparties — quietly, selectively, and with precision. We do not run broad auctions for clients who value their privacy.
You work directly with a senior principal from day one through close. No hand-offs to junior teams. No loss of continuity at critical moments.
Our measure of success is a client relationship that extends well beyond any single deal. We invest accordingly — from the first conversation.

Founder & Managing Partner
Brian brings over two decades of institutional experience across structured finance, private credit, and private market advisory — beginning his career at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he priced real estate-backed and derivative fixed income securities, before moving to Deloitte & Touché, where he structured transactions ranging from $300M to $3B for leading investment banks.
He subsequently served in senior credit and advisory roles at Moody's Investor Services, Ambac, and IDC, where he advised broker-dealers and asset managers including Credit Suisse, TCW, Liberty Mutual, and Brandywine Asset Management. Brian has spent over a decade as Chief Investment Officer for private family offices — leading investment committees, directing multi-asset capital allocation, and building institutional-grade governance frameworks for families deploying patient capital. He also invested proprietary capital across cannabis, agriculture, real estate, and co-investments, generating approximately 19% annual returns from 2015 to 2019.
Brian founded Terra Advisory to deliver the unconflicted, senior-led counsel that family offices and high net worth individuals deserve — and rarely receive elsewhere. He holds a Master of Science in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business, with a concentration in Real Estate.
If you are a family office, high net worth individual, or private market participant considering a transaction or seeking counsel, we welcome the conversation. There is no obligation — only an honest discussion about whether we can be useful to you.
